Performance Level of Schools

What is the 'Performance Level' of a school?

The performance level of school is indicated by the Academic Performance Index (API). The API is a numeric index, ranging from a low of 200 to a high of 1000, that reflects the school's performance level based on the results of statewide testing. If you are researching programs that provide specific support for teachers working in low-performing schools, please note that each program sets its own definition of  "Low-Performing." Click below to find the API score of the school in which you are interested.
