The Out-of-State APLE

The Assumption Program for Loans of Education (APLE) program is designed to attract out-of-state teachers to California to teach subjects for which there is a critical need. Up to $11,000 in outstanding student loans may be assumed by the California Student Aid Commission if you teach for four consecutive years. Additional loan amounts may be assumed if you teach math, science or special education in a low-performing school. Contact the Commission at 888-224-7268, #3 for information.
