My biggest challenge has been definitely the classroom management [be]cause if you don’t have good classroom management, your whole day is constantly telling students to pay attention, to learn to do what you ask them to do. And you can’t even teach. It’s like you‘re babysitting. So really-classroom management is the most difficult piece, I think, not only for starting teachers but even for veteran teachers sometimes. I used to think the problems I had were just my problems, but then I hear people talk, “Oh well, I have that same problem.” Okay, good, it is not just me because I don’t know any better. And it’s really frustrating because some things you do learn through experience, and I just want to learn it now. I just want to get it through now.
