I am not your typical math teacher, at least at this school I am not. In fact at every school I have taught at, most math teachers I have seen are incredibly organized. I am not. I am a classic, they label them as ADD people. That’s me. I’ll set my keys down and not have a clue what I did with them two seconds later, or sometimes at night time, I’ll set my glasses down and I’ll forget where I set them down and that’s a real drag when you lose your glasses because you need your glasses to find your glasses. One day this year I came to school without my glasses on. But again, to handle my paper work, I have my IWE’s, my teacher’s assistants, help me do that. I tell them on the first day of school, “Ok your job is to keep me organized. Your job is to keep this grade book intact. Your job is to make sure everything is where it needs to be.”
