What advice would you give to people considering a career in teaching?

Be a lifelong learner seize every opportunity to attend trainings and to collaborate with colleagues. Find the positive in students  every child has strengths; it is your job to discover and enhance them. Develop procedures  structure is important for children (and teachers); be explicit and practice even the smallest tasks. Learn from mistakes  reflect on your lesson, day, week; there is always room for improvement.

What's the best thing about teaching?

Every day is a new day, a new opportunity to teach AND learn. Not only will you educate, but your students will teach and you will learn. Knowing that I have positively impacted the future of my community, country, and world is beyond words.
